Gull Theatre
sea gull theatre

Turning the crank will move clouds and waves, and produce a sound imitating the rushing sea. Delicate pieces of food are offered in brass bowls to lure the city’s seagulls. Sitting on sticks, they watch the show, and are inspired to return to the sea.
The Gulls Remember The Sea

The Pond is black and silvery grey. Above it hovers, in complicated formations, the pure white flock of gulls. What is it that lures the gulls to the pond, as they do not fish there, but feed on waste? They recognise the mirroring surface of the water and cannot help gliding over it in entangled paths.

Calling shrilly, they commemorate their origin from distant shores.
